Dieser Film entstand auf einer Reise durch mehrere Länder Südamerikas. Hauptdarsteller der Arbeit sind unterschiedliche Tiere, die ich entlang meiner Reise antraf. Als Weg, um mit den Tieren in Kontakt zu treten, versuchte ich alltägliche Dinge einzusetzen, die ich für gewöhnlich bei mir habe. Mein Ziel war es, die Gegenstände so zu verwenden, dass die Tiere dadurch getäuscht wurden.
Die Art der Objekte, die im Film zum Einsatz kommen, ist zwar trivial. Im Alltag vieler Menschen spielen sie jedoch eine große Rolle und wir setzen ein hohes Maß an Vertrauen in sie. Doch können wir uns wirklich auf diese Dinge verlassen? Oder lenken sie uns von einer wahrhaftigeren Realität ab, so wie es den Tieren im Film ergeht? Welche Art von Wahrnehmung ist nötig, um eine Täuschung zu erkennen?
I made this film on a journey through several Latin American countries. The protagonists of the work are different animals, which I met along my journey. As a way to get in touch with the animals, I tried to use everyday objects that I usually have with me. My goal was to use the objects in a way that deceived the animals.
Admittedly, the nature of the objects used in the film is trivial. In the everyday life of many people, however, they play an important role and we place a high degree of trust in them. But can we really rely on these objects? Or do they distract us from a more truthful reality, just like it happens to the animals in the film? What kind of perception is necessary to identify a deception?
